Grief can feel overwhelming in the middle of daily life. Many people struggle to talk about their pain or find support nearby.
You might notice trouble sleeping, feelings of isolation, or difficulty focusing at work and home. Has it been hard to share your sadness with others? Are daily routines slipping away?
Finding understanding in your own neighborhood can seem impossible when emotions are running high.
We started Circle of Healing in 2018 after witnessing how many individuals and families in our inner city community were silently carrying the weight of grief, trauma, and loss without the support they truly needed. Too often, people were suffering in isolation — feeling like they had to stay strong, hide their pain, or face difficult seasons alone because there were few safe and understanding spaces where healing conversations could happen openly.
Our founders recognized the deep emotional impact that loss can have on every part of a person’s life, including mental health, relationships, faith, and overall well-being. Through personal experiences and the heartfelt stories shared by neighbors, friends, and community members, it became clear that healing begins when people feel seen, heard, and supported.
We help individuals and families in the inner city work through grief by offering monthly workshops, special seminars, community activities, and speaking events, in partnership with the Trauma Healing Response Network. Our team is part of the community we serve.
